薄葉蜘蛛抱蛋 Aspidistra attenuata

它紫紅色花朵中包著子房

從地表葉基間冒出

形似抱著卵的蜘蛛而得名

排灣族有個”abai”（糯米粽）是以假酸漿葉包粽

而鄒族則用薄葉蜘蛛抱蛋來包製「獵人包」

葉可以不經殺青直接裹米食

除了專為鄒族獵人包而生的蜘蛛抱蛋葉外

它在冬天結成的果實有花生味

相當可口好吃

 

Aspidistra attenuata

Its purple-red flowers contain an ovary

emerging from the leaf bases of the ground

Named after it looks like a spider holding an egg.

The Paiwan people have abai (glutinous rice dumpling) made with fake physalis leaves.

The Tsou people use thin-leaf spider eggs to wrap “hunter bags”

The leaves can be wrapped in rice directly without being thawed.
