野柿 kaki-no-nghou

鄒語kaki是「柿子」

nghou是「猴子」

合起來  kaki-no-nghou  是指台灣山區原生的野柿

據說這種柿子是台灣獼猴的好食物

因而得名

 

Wild persimmon ”kaki-no-nghou”

”kaki” in Zou language means “persimmon”

”nghou” means “monkey”

Together, ”kaki-no-nghou” refers to the wild persimmon native to Taiwan’s mountainous areas.

It is said that this kind of persimmon is a good food for Taiwanese macaques

hence the name
